Toyland

In the 1960s, a warehouse owned by Ray's Hardware stood in the now-vacant area on the south side of the old Wilkerson's Radio and T.V. Service building.

Ronnie Ray, son of the founder of Ray's Hardware, describes the warehouse's unique purpose and his role in its operation.






It is unclear whether this photo was actually taken in Toyland, but the "Toyland" sign and extensive Christmas decorations are suggestive of that location. The photo is undated, from the collection of Max McAliley.
If the photo is not of Toyland, it is most likely of a section of the Western Auto Associate Store.
