GULF Station

The GULF Station was one of many service stations in the downtown area in the 1950s and 1960s.

Tim Taylor describes the abundance of gas stations on the north end of town during the "boom era" of the 1950s and 1960s.

The GULF station remained in operation, though under varying ownership, through the 2000s. The ECON station in its place today closed in 2009.
